Terms of Use

PlateRep for iOS

Last updated 12 September 2026

PlateRep is a nutrition and training log. It estimates, it doesn't diagnose. These terms explain what you can expect from the app, what we expect from you, and how subscriptions work.

Agreeing to these terms

By downloading or using PlateRep you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the app. PlateRep is developed and published by Davut Temel (Destek Bilişim), Istanbul, Türkiye.

What PlateRep does

The app lets you log meals, water, body weight and workouts, and shows the totals and trends that come out of what you logged. It calculates a suggested daily calorie and macro target from the details you enter.

Every number in PlateRep is an estimate. Photo recognition cannot measure a portion exactly, and calorie targets are produced by a general formula, not by anyone who knows your body. Treat the figures as a rough guide, check them, and edit anything that looks wrong.

Not medical advice

PlateRep is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional or clinical advice. Nothing in the app diagnoses, treats or prevents any condition. Before changing how you eat or train — particularly if you are pregnant, managing a health condition, taking medication, or under 18 — speak to a qualified professional. If you have concerns about disordered eating, please seek help from a professional rather than relying on a tracking app.

Meal scanning

Scanning sends the photo you select for automated analysis and returns an estimate. Recognition can misidentify foods and will often misjudge portion size. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting a scan before saving it. The feature needs an internet connection; the rest of the app works offline.

Subscriptions and billing

PlateRep offers free use with a limited number of meal scans. PlateRep Premium unlocks unlimited scanning, full progress analytics, hydration history and advanced insights.

Using the app properly

Don't use PlateRep in ways that break the law, and don't attempt to overload, probe or misuse the scanning service — for example by sending automated traffic to it, or by trying to extract credentials from the app. We limit how many scans a device can request in a day so the service stays available for everyone.

Your content

What you log is yours. Because the app stores it on your device and we keep no copy, we claim no rights over it and we cannot recover it for you if the device is lost or the app is deleted. When you scan a meal, you confirm you have the right to submit that photo for processing.

Your data

How data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features, including the scanning service, which depends on a third-party provider. We aim to keep the app working but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for decisions you make on the basis of estimates the app produced. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for PlateRep. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without affecting mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
